ONE OF THE BEST AND LONGEST THIRD REICH POLICE NCO’s DEGEN I HAVE OWNED.
All designed by the same person who delivered the SS officer Degen to Himmler, which I think was Paul Casberg. All these swords were introduced at the same time, around 1936, and as the police were then under the direct control of the SS, all the swords bear strong similarities. Whereas a SS officer Degen was awarded to an officer. Police parade swords were just part of the dress uniform and al... read more
A GREAT, EARLY HITLER YOUTH KNIFE WITH FULL MOTTO!
One of the several daggers I purchased at the SoS in America. With examples over there fetching $800-1100 dollars!! I managed to get this one at a reasonable price, so I will pass that on!
An early example knife with all the attributes collectors are after. Nickel plated STEEL hilt with just a bit of plate loss where the upper cross strap has rubbed. Nice chequered grips. An enamel HJ di... read more
A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE OF A ‘TRANSITIONAL’ DOUBLE MARKED SA DAGGER BY EICKHORN.
I’ve not had a RZM period dagger as nice as this for a long time! Usually these RZM era pieces show major lifting problems on the crossguard etc. This one does show some very slight lifting on the lower crossguard on the reverse, where it rests against the wood and moisture affects the nickel plating. But that’s ALL, everywhere else the nickel plating is 100% mint, quite amazing to see. A mint ... read more
AN EARLY 1933 SS DAGGER BY BOKER.
A recent American purchase this is an extremely decent example of what is known as a’33 SS dagger. A lot of people call them a ‘mans dagger’, which is only half right as ALL ranks of the SS wore this exact type of parade dagger until 1936. Then a specific officers dagger was introduced with twin chain suspension hangers.
This being an early piece, all metal parts, crossguards, scabbar... read more

A RARE K98 PATENT LEATHER PARADE FROG WITH D.R.P. MARKED BACK PLATE.
For those who collect accessories etc this is quite a rare find. A patent leather parade frog with the reinforced black painted aluminium back plate. Patented by the manufacturer to reduce wear and strengthen the frog itself. All of these have DRP stamped into them. Some people attribute these to a Postal bayonet frog Deutche Reich Post, but I think it’s Deutche Reich Patent. Nice frog nonethe... read more

RARE SHORT THIRD REICH CLAMSHELL POLICE BAYONET WITH FROG.
A recent purchase from the SOS in America. This is a super example of one of the MANY interesting variants of Police bayonets. I have said before, it’s quite possible JUST to have a huge collection of police bayonets and sidearms as there are so many different examples. This is a quite small and short bladed type with a clamshell. These are often associated with Officer rank, as the ordinary po... read more
EARLY NAVAL OFFICERS DAGGER BY WEYERSBERG WITH ORIGINAL KNOT.
Whilst I had a similar Weyersberg navy dagger recently, it’s not a common maker at all and I’m just fortunate in getting another so soon! A very nice, all brass example. Perfect cream celluloid grip with no issues. The ORIGINAL bullion portapee is tied and has been there since new. Nicely ‘set’ in place. Scabbard is dent free and has remains of fire gilding throughout. Blade is in near mint con... read more
A VERY AFFORDABLE EARLY SA BY EP&S.
This is a completely original earky SA dagger by Ernst Pack & Sonn but it’s not been kept in perfect conditions. There is old moisture damage to the exterior of the scabbard which has affected the brown anodising and eaten into the surface in a few places. All the nickel fittings remain intact and are fine, with all screws in place. The grip is perfect with no damage to the wood. Nickel eagle a... read more
A NAVY DAGGER BY WKC WITH ORIGINAL KNOT.
Purchased recently from a private collector, this navy dagger remains un-messed with and damage free. It also has the benefit of having the original bullion portapee tied in the correct manner. All brass construction with a few areas of fire gilding remaining. Perfect celluloid grip with brass twisted wire. Bullion portapee shows some honest wear but intact and in good condition. The blade is ... read more
AN EARLY SA IN NEAR MINT CONDITION WITH RARE 9/10 MAKER.
It’s quite rewarding finding one of these daggers with an unusual and rare maker, especially in this condition. The collecting market for SA’s has exploded over the past few years, especially with the publication of good reference books (thank you Mr. Seigert!) etc. There are well over 200 different early SA makers. It was a great cottage industry in the 1930’s, so some of the very small enterp... read more
