ONE OF THE BEST EARLY SA DAGGERS I HAVE OWNED IN A WHILE!

From a private collection in South London. This dagger has not been on the market for over 30 years. It’s a super piece, in virtually MINT condition and is complete with its original early 3 piece hanger (£250 on its own!). All solid nickel fittings throughout. A lovely deep brown hardwood grip with nickel eagle and perfect SA button. Lower crossguard is Gau marked Nm (Nordmark). The scabbard is tremendous as it has 99% of the LACQUER over the brown anodising underneath! The lower ball is a little squashed as it’s been dropped at some time. Attached to the scabbard ring is the original triple leather hanger with solid nickel early snap clip. The blade is stupendous and is STONE MINT. ALL the crossgrain polish is present and the motto and trademark have deep grey lettering. Wonderful. The dagger is made by ROB.GEIRSCH SOLINGEN whose trademark is a figure in a long coat or dress with a wide brimmed hat. I have not seen or remember having this maker EVER before and I can’t find many examples on the internet. It’s a rare and desirable maker and rated at 7/10, but surely not in this condition!!!
