A SUPERB EXAMPLE OF A LAND CUSTOMS DAGGER BY WKC WITH HANGERS & KNOT.

I was happy to re-purchase this dagger from a long time collector. I remember selling it to him 10-12 years ago. Land Customs daggers are always made of aluminium, but come in 2 finishes. It seems earlier ones were nickel silver plated over the aluminium base and the others are anodised aluminium finish. This is a wonderful example of the nickel plated variety. Pommel, crossguard and scabbard fittings are all heavily plated. As there is a high silver content here, the fittings have a great, dark silver patina over them. In fact where the crossguard eagle has protected a bit of the top scabbard fitting, it’s left a bright outline ‘shadow’ of the eagle itself!! Very nice green Morrocan leather to the grip and scabbard with no damage or scuffs. There is the original 42cm bullion knot tied in place around the grip and crossguard. The blade is stone mint and in beautiful condition throughout. The reverse has the WKC knights head logo etched deeply. With the dagger are a fantastic set of Customs hangers. Silver bullion with twin green strips running the length. The buckles, clips slides etc are all aluminium. The reverse of the straps are in dark green velvet. There is evidence of them being worn, but basically they are in mint condition.
This is a great dagger and complete with all accessories. Would be very hard to upgrade.
