The series of RLB daggers are known for their noticeable Art Deco design the the hilt and crossguard. Originally introduced in 1936, they were slightly redesigned later on on 1938 to include a prominent swastika grip badge instead of the star badge with RLB lettering. This is a really nice example in every way and includes the small integral leather hanger which is sadly missing from many daggers. The SOLID NICKEL hilt is in near perfect condition with great detail to the pommel and eagle crossguard. Solid black ebony grip shoes no chips or damage. The RLB starburst badge is pinned to the middle of the grip. The large enamel swastika shows some minor surface scratches but no material missing. The black painted scabbard shows some use along the carrying lower edge but is 85% intact. The single black leather integral hanger and clip are fine. Blade is in near mint condition with most crossgrain polish present. There are a couple of old finger smudges. The diamond KRONICK trademark is etched to the reverse riccasso. Leather blade buffer is still present.
