UNTOUCHED EARLY RARE MAKER SA DAGGER! SA daggers continue to rise in value, and with the issue of several excellent books recently, interest is always high. Never been in a collection before, and purchased directly by myself. this is an early, all nickel piece by C.SCHLEIPER Solingen, with an 'EYE' as a trademark. Dagger is completely uncleaned and is fact quite dirty. All nickel parts have gone a dark yellow. Scabbard has much of the original brown anodising, but also has a couple of small, but quite deep rust pits. They are not really noticeable though. Blade is very nice, lots of crossgraining, but there are a few finger smudges. Maker is extremely rare and rates a 9 on the rarely scale, 10 being the rarest. Probably only about 1000 of this maker ever made! |

Nr MINT NSKK CHAINED DAGGER-EICKHORN!!!!! I am very pleased to offer this dagger back into the collecting community. It is a near perfect example of the TEXTBOOK NSKK 1936 CHAINED officers dagger by Carl Eickhorn. Whilst other manufacturers made these, EICKHORN are the permier and renown maker, if you are going to own one, buy an EICKHORN made variety. Dagger is a typical , later RZM type, but with all the Eickhorn characteristics. Dagger is in near mint condition, with no lifting on the crossguards etc. Near perfect grip, lovely piece of deep wood. Grip eagle is nickel silver as was common on early RZM pieces. Blade is beautiful with 100% crossgraining and 100% burnishing to the motto and trademark. Revers of balde has the classic double trademark of the Eickhorn squirrel and the RZM M7/66 above it. Scabbrd has 99% of ALL the ORIGINAL black paint, beautiful condition here. The nickel plated chains are slightly dull, but has all the nickel plating and a light polish would bring them up a treat. The reverse of the chains are stamped on the links nearest the scabbard, one side with the 'Musterschutz NSKK-Korpsfuhrung' and the ASSMANN 'RZM M5' on the other link. Scabbard throat is the commonly noticed thicker type used by Eickhorn. A really, really nice dagger. I know everyone loves a SS chained dagger, but THESE ARE FAR RARER. In this condition, you can't go wrong. |

Super EARLY SA dagger by Gebruder Heller Found this beauty in a watch repair shop in Salinas, California last month. Was in America for a funeral, then was trapped by the ash cloud, so went searching all the antique/pawn shops etc. This is the ONLY thing I found, but it is a lovely dagger. Classic SA dagger with quality all early fittings in solid nickel. Has been uncleaned for many years, so nicely toned.Grip is a beautiful piece of wood. There are a couple of 'bruises' to the surface, one on the front above the nickel eagle, which is quite deep and one to the reverse, on the high point of the grip edge. No cracks or damage, just careless handling. SA button and eagle are perfect. Crossguard marked with 'BO' Gau stamp. Top reverse crossguard has some scratches to the surface, look recent, as if the dagger was dropped recently.Gebruder Heller are quite a common maker, but they made a quality dagger in every way. It's estimated they made about 46,000 Sa daggers. Scbbard has all of the original brown anodising and looks great. The snap clip from the original hanging strap is still on the scabbard ring, I have left it as I found it. |

NSKK CHAINED, EICKHORN DOUBLE PROOF RZM etc. SUPERB! I was very pleased to be able to buy this very nice NSKK chained dagger. Virtually text-book in every respect. It is a long time since I have owned one of these, the last one was purchased for a client and never made it to the site!! Eickhorn were the main producer of these things it seems, although there are aother real makers out there. However, Eickhorn is the maker everyone wants and trusts. Dagger itself is a typical Eickhorn RZM type, nice grip, perfect plating to the crossguards, and aluminium inset grip eagle. Blade is beautiful, mint with all the crossgraining. Has the Eickhorn squirrel as well as the RZM code mark M7/66 1938. I have not had a NSKK cahined dagger with this early a date on the blade, usually it's 1940, although I have had 1939 too. Scabbard is painted black, and has 95% original paint, with some minor chips and scratches. NSKK chains are beautiful and have a great deal of the original nickel plating on 90% of the surfaces. Chain links are stamped with the "NSKK Musterschütz Korpsfuhrüng" and the “RZM M5/8”. (Assmann), both on the links nearest the scabbard. I know for a fact that NSKK chained daggers are much harder to find than a SS chained dagger, and in my opinion rarer in good condition. I just don't see tham any more. A great conditioned dagger and worthy addition to any collection. |
