ARMY OFFICERS DRESS DAGGER with ORANGE grip.
This is a nice, classic dagger by WKC. Seems to have never been apart and is in overall excellent condition. Nice tangerine orange coloured grip. No damage. Slight lifting to the plating on the reverse of the crossguard. Nice detail to the crossguard eagle, which I think is the 2nd type used by WKC? Very clean blade, with WKC trademark on the side under the crossguard.
Scabbard has some slight scuffs, but has nearly all of the silver plating present. Good example.

Rare army officers dagger.EP&S.
According to Tom Wittmann's army book, this maker on an army dagger is pretty rare. Ernst Pack and Sonne, with the large flamboyant logo! Dagger is in lovely condition, beautiful tangerine orange grip, good fittings, perfect scabbard and a mint blade. Can't say much more. !!!

Rare ARMY dagger, straps and knot by FRIDERICUS!!!
I do not remember having a army dagger by this maker, and checking Tom Wittmann's army book, they seem to be pretty rare. This example is actually identical to the one pictured in Tom's book in every way. Unfortunately, my example has a cracked celluloid grip, which has been there a very long time. No material missing and some dirt has got into the crack after all these years. This dagger is totally uncleaned and is very dark with patina etc. Blade is virtually mint, with crossgraining. Original bullion knot is lovely, and this is complete with a very nice set of hanging straps. RARE dagger maker.

Uncleaned WKC army officers dagger.
This is a very nice, not mint,but totally untouched army dagger, coming directly from a veteran source and never been in a collection. Nice orange type grip. Good patina all over the silver plated fittings. MINT WKC marked blade, with all crossgraining and needly sharp point. Army daggers are still quite common, but more difficult to find in good, untouched condition. This is a classic WKC piece, with the famous 'hatchet shaped' eagles beak on the crossguard.

A nice rarer maker here, has some small faults, but good piece!! An army officers dagger complete with straps and knot by MwM!!! Crossguard is the generic type. Grip is solid yellow celluloid with some hairline cracks by the ferrel. Small piece missing from inside grip but this is hidden by ferrel ring and not noticeable at all. Blade is nice a clean, some crossgraining, but a little grey in places. Scabbard has nearly all plating, and a small 'train door' dent at the lower end. The original bullion knot has been tied in a very strange manner around the top of the scabbard. Has been there for EVER!! The hangers are the rare 'horseshoe top' type. In good overall condition, have been worn a lot, and there is a wear patch just at thetop on the reverse. Looks a great piece, and the knot tie is most interesting.
