RED CROSS/SOCIAL WELFARE DAGGER with original knot.
A very clean and good looking example of a Red Cross Officers dress dagger, with the scabbard that has round apertures for the hanging straps. Supposed to be 'Social Welfare', however I have always beleived that this is just a manufacturing design difference between companies. The designation of 'Social Wefare' would be in the TYPE of hangers worn with the dagger, not just the type of suspension holes!!! Anyway, really nice dagger with lemon yellow celluloid grip. Tiny hair crack to the grip, but is hidden by the original bullion knot. Dagger has never been taken apart it seems as the star nut in the pommel is undamaged. Very good silver plating to all of the metal surfaces. A few age spots to the scabbard. Blade is very clean indeed. Not quite mint, as it's very slightly greying. Super looking dagger.

Red Cross Man's sawback dagger with frog.
An excellent example, shoing a little age to the scabbard, but otherwise a very nice piece. Blade is virtually mint, with no blemishes at all. Scabbard has some paint missing to the reverse lower area. Original frog in place. Good plating to hilt fittings etc.

RED CROSS OFFICERS DAGGER WITH ORANGE GRIP.
A fantastic looking dagger here, as the nickel plating is very bright and the grip is a super tangerine orange colour. Contrast is great. Perfect grip, nice plating to all pommel, crossguard and scabbard body. Blade has all of the crossgraining present, but has a couple of areas when it has been exposed to some sort of moisture and it has marked the otherwise perfect blade.

Red Cross man's dagger, with original frog.
This has proved to be a good and popular dagger. Used to be easier to find, but no longer. Purchased from America as I could not find a decent one here for a reasonable price. Dagger has been uncleaned for MANY years, lots of paina, bit grubby, but fine underneath. Plating all intact, original black paint to the scabbard. Blade has the normal razor-sharp saw-back edge. In very good condition, with a few age spots. Original black leather frog has never been off the dagger.
