UNCLEANED/UNTOUCHED SS 1933 dagger. KLAAS!!!!!!!!! I am always excited to be able to list a dagger like this. Never been in a collection, but purchased from a direct source after being found recently in the Noth of England. This is a beautiful, untouched SS '33 mans dagger by Robert Klaas. All the nickel fittings have been unpolished and have gathered a great yellow patina. the black ebony grips has some age to it, but no chips or damage at all. Nickel grip eagle sits beautifully in the wood and the SS runes button is perfect. Scabbard has no dents or creases and is the anodised type. there is some light surface rust spotting, but nothing serious at all, just adds the 70 years of character. The blade is 99.9% mint, it was still in green cosmoline grease when I pulled it out, so have just tken that off to make sure the blade is fine. Apart from some in & out light surface scratching, present on most blades, there is 100% crossgraining and 100% background anodising in the motto and trademark. The Klaas trademark of two kissing Cranes is perfect. (the smearing/cloudy part on the blade is the remains of the cosmoline, easily wiped off) The lower crossguard is deeply stamped with the Roman numeral 'I'. SS daggers will always be very collectable, and their value continues to firm. A very good example.

SS '33 dagger with vertical hanger, but water damaged blade. Purchased from a long time collector, this is a great looking SS dagger, but very sadly the blade has been exposed to moisture over a long period of time and it has etched into the surface. It actually looks as though it's an artificial damascus blade!!! Not deep, but seems to be permanent I am afraid. Blade is by Hammesfar. All other parts of the dagger are super. Great solid ebony grip, all nickel fittings to crossguard etc. Nice painted scabbard is 99% . Even has a good vertical hanger! If a better blade was found, then this is a £2000+ dagger. Priced accordingly.
