A MINT SINGLE ETCH ‘SERVICE TIME’ K98 DRESS BAYONET BY RARE MAKER EMIL VOOS.

This is a really lovely short pattern dress bayonet, complete with the leather frog, it is in mint condition. The nickel plated hilt is perfect. The mortice slot has a red felt plug. Chequered grips are perfect. Scabbard paint is 100%. The blade, of course, is also mint. It has a single etch ‘Rememberence of my Service time’ with eagle and swastika etc. In fact this etch is one used by Robert Klaas and Emil Voos purchased the bayonets from Klaas and applied their own trademark. This what makes it rare and the tiny Voos lettering and trademark is stamped beside the etch panel, rather than fully on the riccasso.
Wayne Tychet mentions this anomaly in his first etched bayonet book on page . A really nice item, not to be upgraded.
